In Germany, there are strong fluctuations in sunlight due to the seasons, which means that sufficient production of vitamin D3 is not always guaranteed. A vitamin D3 deficiency can develop, particularly in winter or if you regularly spend time indoors. The 2008 National Nutrition Survey showed that 91% of women and 82% of men in Germany have a vitamin D3 deficiency.
